The Famous Cenotes
Cavern Diving
The cenotes (from the mayan dz'onot) are huge natural holes created throughout long glacial periodes in limestone grounds. They are filled of a superficial
layer of fresh water and sometimes an inferior layer of sea water.
They are essentially found in North and central america and more precisely in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. They create natural wells which can be over several dozen meters deep.
If you are certified (open water or level 1) you'll be able to discover the fantastic light effects, stalactites, stalagmites, haloclines etc...

We organise recap' sessions in the swimming pool or the lagoon, for you to get your confidence back.
It is best to re-adapt to the equipment in order to fully enjoy the actual dive.
